Resolutions!
I, your ever-wordy friend, who has just made your f-list a nightmare, have a very wordy resolutions list to post. XD
It can pretty much be summarized as "Keep doing what you're doing right, and get the rest of your shit together." XD
This is more... of like a list of things I've learned this past year, and would like to keep doing, or begin to do. I know a lot of things about me have to change. This is probably way too wordy, but it's all of the goals I have rumbling about in my head. XD
Be a more balanced person in general.
Sleep better, eat better, exercise.
Learn to follow my own plans.
Don't overwhelm myself with plans- be a LITTLE more realistic.
Recognize when I'm getting depressed, and nip it in the bud before it eats me up inside. Or at least learn not to wallow in it, and ride it out.
Play more video games XD
The Big Three:
Get a real job for once.
Learn to drive, and get a car.
Move out on my own.
Work on my comic on a regular schedule of some sort.
Get something printed and 'published.' And hopefully sold.
Finish the Kragsyde Trailer in its entirety.
Do well in school, and keep progressing artistically. Keep the fire lit under me. XD
Finish some of these projects I've started.
Sculpt more!
BE SUPERMAN!
Be better in social situations- keep learning, essentially.
Be less clueless as to my own damn feelings. XD
Consider nature more. Go OUTSIDE more. XD
Figure out what I might need to do spiritually- since that's been sorely neglected.
Play my flute more!! That too has been neglected.
Listen to more music. Add more stuff I like to my collection.
Be happy. Learn what really does make me happy. Stay that way- enjoy life.
Be kind to other people, take care of my friends. Give back love.
Accept love and care from other people.
Love myself.
Be at ease with my family. Don't be spiteful with them. Somehow learn to work it out. Leave them on good terms.
Don't let hate and spite get to me.
Don't worry unnecessarily.
Learn how to part with things. Unearth myself from my mess.
Be optimistic and hopeful.
Believe in myself.
Be more independent.
Be strong, and get stronger.
Don't be lonely. Don't make myself lonely - reach out.
Be balanced. Be considerate of other people, and take care of myself.
And for the love of god, chill out. XD
I also found this lovely quote from Anon, from an artist over on DA. I am reposting it for great justice- and so you all know what that "BE SUPERMAN!" resolution is all about. XD
/Co/mrades. This is the year. This is the year we start kicking some ass.
Why this year? Because I say so. But if you want a better reason, how about this? 2010 is the year after this one, and that’s a pretty cool sounding number. When 2010 starts, you want to already BE awesome, right? 2009 is the time to get awesome.
That book/song/film/statue/amazing septic tank design you’ve had in the back of your head for god knows how long? This is the year to make it happen. “But” you ask, “I never have the time.” Of course you don’t. Work, school, second or third job, kids, family. I understand. Life gets in the way. But look at it this way…
Remember early Superman? I mean EARLY Superman? I’m talking Max Fleischer Superman. How Lois always treated him like crap? Playing tricks on him so he wouldn’t get the big story and she would? Remember how he always just laughed and shrugged, confident in the fact he was Superman and he knew she wanted him but would never have him? Adopt that attitude.
(Ladies? This applies to you as well but I’m going to run with the Superman analogy so switch genders in the following bit if necessary)
When you’re at work, or at school, or whatever mundane practice you participate in that’s necessary to function in society. You’re Clark Kent. Sure no one takes you as seriously as you deserve, and sure that girl Lois you’ve had your eye on for so long treats you like crap. But that doesn’t matter. Why? Because you’re Superman. It doesn’t matter that no one else knows this. You’re Superman.
When you leave your job/class/etc drop the disguise. Shed the clothes of mild mannered Clark Kent and don the glorious tights of Superman. Write that novel. Film that movie. Record that song. Learn to breakdance. You know better than those around you how awesome you REALLY are. Keep at it.
Keep at it long enough and finally Lois is going to realize how damn freaking awesome you are. But who cares what she thinks? You’re SUPERMAN. You’re all ready hooking up with Wonder Woman and high-fiving Batman. Oh and that Luthor punk? He’s just jealous. He wishes he was as damn awesome as you are but he’s not, so he just blames you for all of his problems. Yeah he’s kind of annoying, but he’s not hooking up with Wonder Woman and high-fiving Batman, YOU ARE. So let him throw giant death machines at you, just knock em down and head to the JLA mixer.
So that’s my advice to you /co/mrades. Go forth into 2009 and kick some ass.

I hope you can keep the words of anon in your heart and mind. XD It's surprisingly close to my own philosophy- I just have to remember I'm Superman when I'm not with friends or doing art. XD
HAPPY 2009!
